The excitement that’s been brewing over the release of 20 year-old rapper Phil Adé’s debut mix tape is peaking at very moment, and I for one can’t take it anymore. In just a lil’ bit, (Friday, July10th), the fruits of Phil’s creative labor, Starting on JV, will be available for download on the label’s website, www.368musicgroup.com.
For those that follow DMV hip hop, Phil popped up suddenly and seemingly out of nowhere. He started rapping in his junior year of high school, a hobby that grew serious as his raw talent progressed with studious dedication. It was only back in January that his artistry got noticed and revved up by an impressive set of individuals, mainly Tennyson Richards, Raheem DeVaughn and Dre “The Mayor” Hobson, that turned Phil’s creative energy into a full-fledged operation. Phil's come a long way in the last few months, but what's really exciting here is knowing that really, he's just begun.
